Here is the latest letter from Nicodemouse, our very own church mouse.

Last Easter I was invited to visit my grandfather over at Brighton. Grandad mouse was always known to every one who knew him as 'Old Mouse'.

He lived in a very big church behind the altar and woke up every morning to see the sum bursting through the wonderful, colourful stained glass windows.

Anyway, when I arrived at the big old church, to my amazement I found 'Old Mouse' had invited all of the church mouse family together to celebrate Easter. There was Mickie and Minnie, Naughty Nicolas, Tubby Thomas, Jolly James, Uncle Peter and Uncle Matthew and Aunt Sally. Mickie and Minnie were full of mischief and were running up and down the altar much to 'Old Mouses' dismay.

Old Mouse had been very busy and provided a wonderful feast of cheese cake, cheese pie, cheese crisps, cheese ice-cream and a big chocolate Easter cake - goodness me when we had finished eating there were crumbs everywhere!

Afterwards we went on an Easter egg hunt, and kept a lookout for Jasper the church cat. Old Mouse was very quiet and was curled up asleep. Aunt Sally tried to wake him up but he didn't answer. The Church was very quiet. Mickie and Minnie stopped running about and we soon realised that 'Old Mouse' was dead. Of course everyone was very upset, and Mickie and Minnie couldn't stop crying.

Three days later we had a wonderful funeral for 'Old Mouse' with mice travelling from all over Sussex. We all cried but we tried to remember how good, kind and gentle 'Old Mouse' was. We all knew that 'Old Mouse ' loved Jesus, and believed that Jesus was his Lord and Saviour and that Jesus would take 'Old Mouse' to heaven.

Heaven is being with God, doing the kind of things that God wants us to do, and enjoying them. In heaven we shall be happy because we are close to God, and because the things that make Him happy will make us happy too.

You and I cannot see Jesus, but we still believe that he rose to life again, and it's good to remember these words. Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Jesus is Risen Alleluia!
